I'm a Consultant and I've Been a Consultant for a Very Short Period of Time, and I Was Really Shocked by It.
Before I became a consultant, I sort of basically thought in the world, there are smart people and not smart people. And if only they could change those not smart people, the smart people, everything would be fine. One of the things that I was really shocked by being a consultant is just that so many of the companies and organizations were wrong by really smart people. It's hard to make even an organization that looks rich, powerful, influential, impregnable to actually change doing anything.
