The Escalapian snake is a medium-sized, bronzy-coloured species that's hugely widespread across Europe. They can be found in Brittany in northern France and have co-evolved to become part of the natural ecosystem over there. So they would integrate particularly well in this area, feeding on rats and possibly grey squirrels as well. Anything larger than a rat would be far too big for them to make a meal off.
