The Problem With Morphology
A morpheme in linguistic analysis is basically the smallest part of a word that is meaningful. The issue with morphemes is that there is a, there is a kind of fiction that you must accept in order for all morphemic analyses to work. Any specific meaning will be specifically tied to a string, to a phonological string. That has to work or otherwise morphemes make no sense. You simply can't have a morphemic analysis.
