The Effect of Intention on Weight Loss
There's a huge 87% increase in risk from the intending to lose weight and losing it, but yet for someone that doesn't have that intention, losing weight doesn't offer anything of significance. There was a really small number of mortality endpoints in the entire cohort. And again, the potential that that effect estimate is influenced by other factors. We're talking about all cause mortality as well. So there's probably a separate argument over how useful a metric that is and whether someone's weight cycling was responsible for them crashing a car.
