The Risk of Long Term Effects of Antidepressants
The risk of long term effects, I think, is always a concern and should be taken seriously. It's also really tough to say because a lot of times, you can have a situation where someone like happens to start antidepressants. And then when they go off the antidepressant, they have this negative effect. For example, people can lose their sexuality sometimes. But it might be that they would have lost it anyway. The best we can do is often say, well, we think it's like less than an x% chance, but we can't be sure whether there's really any risk or it's just like, you know, a small risk.
