The Hidden Curriculum of Grant Writing
Grant writing is one of those very, very important skills at modern scholars need to have in their tool belts. It wasn't until my first position as an assistant professor that I ever tried to learn how to write a grant. The top 10% of organizations that get National Institutes of Health funding take 70% of that funding. And just as a counterpoint the bottom 50% of organizations getting funding gets less than 5%.
