Picking a Birch in the Winter Time
If i've sowed my sweet peas in the winter time, i must go and pick a bundle of birch. You want it wer its, you know, very dormant and lifeless when you pick it. It's one of the first er trees were the sap starts to rise. So normally i try and get rods of silver birch that are at least eight foot high. When i see the wigwams up, i know that the spring season is properly kicking in. They're my top wigwam tips.
