The Biggest Problem With DRP
DRP is not great for tax necessarily because you've got to figure out what the numbers are over year. The big plus is that out of sight, out of mind that you tick the box, the cash doesn't turn up in your bank account so you're not tempted to spend it. But if I went up as the average investor in CBAs and had some nachos or a shnitty - would you buy some CBAs shares in five years time? Would you agree to buy them now and I'll tell you the price after you get them? No. Well, that's what you're doing when you sign up for DRP.
