Is Data Science Scalable?

Scott Cunningham: Have we had, have we really seen data science scale? I mean, does it work? It's a provocative hypothesis. A lot of data science work either confirms prior decisions of decision makers or is discarded because it doesn't confirm prior decisions of the highest paid person. And so presumably, he says, you start developing an intuition and that intuition helps you understand and trust problems. The economist will say, well, could we establish some sort of like, either experiment or a way at getting, you know, if X, then Y, more so than a correlation?"
