Introduction
This teaching was first given at Bridgton Church in Portland, Oregon as a part of the Unhuring with the Rule of Life series. Close your eyes for just a moment and draw to your mind an image of Jesus. You likely had brown skin, dark hair, a scrubby beard, and simple dress. Think of most paintings of Jesus down through church history. At best, the dude looks serious, at worst, very dour.
