Caesar's Invasion of the Romans
Cesar was in an awkward position. He had to either choose to let the british reorganize, or lose many of his ships. So he sent a messe to the continent requesting that labienus provide him with craftsmen to repair his ships. And while caesar awaited the arrival of these men, he set his soldiers to work beaching the remaining 760 ships and fortifying their camp. Despite the enormous number of soldiers at work, it took the romans only ten days to complete their task. But those ten days also gave the britons ample time to organize into single unit and select a supreme leader, casivalanus.
