The Origins of the Rydell Horde
The Yorkshire Museum has put forward four potential theories. The first is that it was buried by a priest of the imperial cult inspired by the scepterhead of Marcus Aurelius. Another possibility is thatIt was a soldier that buried the horde, an idea inspired by the Mars figurine. We have a wealth of evidence for soldiers living here whether it being the stamped tiles and pottery that they produced in official workshops.
