The Battle of Ibera and its Implications
In this chapter, the Roman legions engage in battle with the Carthaginian army. The Romans manage to break through the Carthaginian line, leading to the retreat and eventual rout of the Carthaginian forces. The Carthaginian cavalry and elephants are ineffective in the battle. The Roman victory has both tactical and strategic implications, as an entire Carthaginian army is wiped out and their army is unable to link up with Hannibal.
