The Only Place I Can Be Safe Is in a Bed
i've had multiple patients who have been fighting for their lives on ventilators and on emo for weeks. They now believe that the only place i can be safe and not have my life threatened is if i'm lying in that bed. Am so we often have to teach the chronicly critically ill that you are safe out of the bed. This is one small step. Also, upright chairs require more of the the muscles that run up and down the back of a spine - they hold us up all day long without us even thinking about it. And I wrote an article about this that was published two thousand and 13, i think, in the physical therapy journal.
