Do You Have a Library Card?
The only time I ever used my rights at the Bodleian was to get a very old catalogue of farthing variants. You can't actually take them away with you, because especially if it's the only copy. If you were to get something from the reading room and then steal it, what sort of punishment would there be for that? Well, you'd lose your library card straight away. Most of the books certainly from the last 10, 20 years will have something in them that will set off alarms. So if you were to walk out with it, we'd know about it.
