You can work yourself to the bone, but if you burn out, then you've kind of lost that game. I think deciding what strategically to care about and then actively walking away from things that you don't longer care about is an exercise that needs to be done on a regular basis to prune your attention. You just fundamentally have to be okay with the fact that for just mental health reasons, you are not going to be able to do everything that you want to do.
