Ru Paul and the Drag Queens
Ru Paul's new outlook leads to the 2007 film Star Booty. He stars as a secret agent who goes undercover as a sex worker. So when his manager calls with the idea for a reality TV show about aspiring drag queens, Ru is intrigued. It can't be mean-spirited like so many other reality shows and he wants to appear on camera both in and out of drag. The same thing happens at every other network they pitch to: Everyone loves it, but no one is willing to buy it.
