I used to remove the date because I thought, well, who cares? Who cares that the date? You know, who cares when I wrote it? It's not like the type of content I'm writing is super relevant. Another thing you can do is update the date, the published date and make sure you're displaying the published date on your website. And then if you scroll all the way to the bottom of that search results page, you'll see even more questions that Google will give you here's what your post should be about.
