CHAPTER

Is There a Need for Specialists in Scientific Thinking?

I wanted to make clear in the book that i did not think we don't need specialists. And so in the last chapter i focused on doctors and scientists who, in the scope of humanity, by any stretch, are specialists. I think there should be really a focus on scientific thinking, not for science, but just that method thinking i means. It's so important even for analyzing the news. One thing you mention in range is the value of being able to make back of the envelope calculations. That's something we generally don't teach in school.
