The Importance of Having a Forensic Witness to a Sexual Salt and Rape Attack
In many cases, victims have been so tramatized by the attack that they are unable to process it. It can literally be years for many victims and survivors before the prospect of going to the police seems like something they might actually consider doing. So in terms of having an eye witness, that isn't essential, but that is one of the potentially key areas of co ration. And again, the vast majority of scenarios, the forensic evidence just isn't available.
