The Effects of Protein on Muscle Growth

For me, fasting is going beyond 24 hours without food. I frequently don't have my first meal till 10, 30 or 11. My calorie needs are down even though I exercise almost daily. It's just away from me to balance my meals relative to my calorie needs. If I go nuts and have 80 grams of protein, is that just useless? Is that dangerous? How do you think about that?
