More than half a million people go to prison every year in the U.S. 95% of them will eventually get out. Colorado is one of six states experimenting with a new program focused less on punishment and more on keeping young people from returning to incarceration. Jennifer Benson's son Bradley was locked up here, 20 years old and facing a 29 year sentence for assault.
