The idea of connection pooling is that instead of every request keeping a connection open to the back and my squel whether or not there's traffic flowing on it, most connections have intermittent traffic. So what connection pooling gets you is, i only need a handful of connections for a specific application that is going against the back and data base. But on the front end, you can still serve tens of thousands of concurrent users with no noticeable lag.
