The Advantages of Pressure Support Ventilation
Pressure support is the most commonly used mode of ventilation. The patient can determine their entire respiritory pattern, so pressure support is typically much more comfortable for patients. There are other modes like volume support, which supply the second most common one. But these are more complicated and i think probably best left for a talk on more adance mechanical ventilation.
