Is There a Future Civilization That Will Simulate Eight Billion Minds?
We live in a universe where entroby is real and energy is limited, because we're talking about an ancestror simulation. So they more or less match our own universe up above in their real onyou don't build a mountain range to shield yourself from a breeze, even if you can. You don't simulate eight billion minds as for people, unless you need to, because thete's probably millions of times the effort. And otherwise, practically identical non sentient simulation would need. All such simulations are about cutting corners. Thus, we can make a pretty good argument why folks in the future might be able to do ansestor simulations but do not.
