What's the Story Behind Tea?

In almost all languages in the world, the word for tea either starts with the terse sound or the Terse sound. The idea is that once tea comes to Europe, it becomes something new and interesting. It trickles down from the aristocracy slowly to Britain and to the common people. In 1729 China bans opium because they think it's becoming a problem. And so the British start growing it in India and exporting it to China. They're looking for goods that China will take instead of silver. That's where opium comes into play.
