How He Got His First Interest in Politics in the Sixties
He engaged with politics first while a student, 19 65 19 66. He talked about the ways in which he and his er friends really dominated the streets by protest. Because it hadn't been seen in that form before. At the same time he was engaging in his interest in radical art. And so there's this intertwining, as you say, of radical art and radical politics during the sixties. But he gravitated to fashion as a means of expression.
