Is There a Wider Look at Higher Education?
Legacies have never been challenged in the same way as racial affirmative action. Part of that is constitutional law itself, which treats different categories differently. And so long as a university could come up with any rational reason for having legacy admissions, that'll pass a constitutional muster. But I think what we're likely to see is the Supreme Court will dismantle racial affirmative action and they will keep legacy admissions in place.
