Is There a Need for More SPR All Else Equal?
Sally Kohn: The best way to offset that risk is actually by being proactive with the SPR rather than reactive. She says as a crude trader, no narrative in the oil market lasts all that long. "I think you should be proactive and you should lean into it when you think it's going to be terrible," she says. But after China's COVID zero lockdowns, we weren't going to lose three million barrels a day of Russian crude for five months.
