Trading your own money is free of regulation it's very low overhead the commissions now where in the old days having being manager you can negotiate your commissions. There's almost no cost to trading these days and you really can as a small operator do things that the big guys almost can't do I never used to trade orange juice a whole lot when I was at Trent's step but I trade it now because I can have some small dollar size compared to what I used to be so I don't have to worry about it.
