The Great Commandment and the Seconds Like It
Love is not only the greatest virtue, it is the sign that we are christians. It ought to be our ethical impulse. I think this is the genius of doctor king. He understood it far more radically than anybody before since. So my great hope is that our churches would fight and claw and pray and work. That we might be communities marked by love in what might be an increasingly place with more and more convusion.
