The Consensus of Free-Range Eggs

I know a lot of vegans who have no problem meeting animal products that are about to go to waste. In the case of oysters, we're essentially offering a justification that there is no suffering involved. But I've heard you also say that you will eat free-range eggs. Could you explain what you mean by that as well?
