Joe Korp's Death

Maria Korp died peacefully in her sleep on August 5th, 2005. Joe Korp was not permitted to attend the funeral as his bail conditions began from being near Laura and Damien. On February 14th, 2014, nine years and four days after she was jailed for the attempted murder of Maria Korp, Tanya Herman was released from minimum security prison. For those at the scene, there was a debate as to whether Joe had genuinely intended to take his own life,. or if he had staged the entire scene as an elaborate cry for help - but never originally intended to go through with the act.
