William sent out parties around east sussex and kent, in the southeastern corner of england. And they tortued many homes, farms, towns, killed many people. As news of this came back to london, there was an intense debate as to what to do. But harold godwinson does not accept either of these ideas. He wants to attack william hedon himself. It is his duty to protect the kingdom.
