The Risks of a Melt Up
Melt ups, very rare occurrences. It tends to cover two or three years worth of returns in a period of six months. But the other side of it is equally steep. You can run up very fast, but then you can get hit very hard. So particularly if it's a melt up into a major top like this one,. If I'm right and this is a 41 year top, that's almost my whole career. And we're topping out. And then what follows that is a long bear market, a secular bear market.
