The young men were holding beers predominantly, but also some strong spirits like whiskey. When I questioned them about it, then they talked about taste. And that was an obvious kind of contradiction. Drinking and drunkenness is traditionally very, very masculine. In order to participate in the proper night out, the young women need to feminise that experience. So they will do that by drinking. these kind of girly drinks drinks that are much more acceptable for young women to drink. If they did
