The Great Man Theory of History

In 1598, we have something called the textus receptus, which is a supposedly better Latin translation of the New Testament by a guy named Erasmus. And it was probably the inspiration for the King James version, which then opened up the floodgates for all the translations we have today. There are about 7,100 languages that are currently spoken in the world. The biggest controversy in my church was when my student passed her, started using the NIV.
