Getting it wrong is actually the default, right? If we just continue pushing on the ai technology in the standard model, we'll get it wrong. I imagine that there are far more ways of getting it wrong than there are of getting it right. It feels to me like this sort of two as in this race. The alignment problem gets across the finish line before the technology does.
