I Love Dialogue, I Love Writing Characters

I find the more I'm connected to my characters emotionally, the more clear I am on who they are. That takes time for me to hear the voice of the character. Once I have it, I tend to write better dialogue quicker. You don't have to be a good actor but you're going to learn a lot about dialogue and how it sounds in your mouth. It doesn't need to be unquote-untruths or anything like that; just let them talk as paragraphs if they're not saying something else. Sometimes people say things out loud when they think no one is looking so there's an air of mystery around their words. If someone says "draggy truck"
