When I originally read the hallmarks of aging, I think it first came out. Like my initial sense was, you know, call this is really useful because that the aging field gets so dispersed. But then the, to my surprise, more and more people would show this hallmarks diagram. And they would sort of refer to it as if it was some sort of central paradigm. So in a way, the hallmarks kind of functions like a paradigm. But it actually isn't an explanatory paradigm in the proper sense. It's not like the periodic table or something.
