I think what a lot of founders have found both in YC now is that if they ask me for help, I'll try to help them. And like, that's what you want. So stop asking for a mentor. Don't raise the stakes of a new relationship. Just just ask for help. You don't and you don't have to give terrible advice. Maybe you say yes to being their mentor and then you drive them off a cliff.
