The first time was in 2008, my doctor put me on a weight loss drug that was banned not long after - it turned out to be amphetamines. Then in 2010, the doctor sentme to an endocrinologist, put me on the Atkins diet which made me feel unpleasant nutritionally but also mentally spinning all the waking hours. And third and most recent: In 2018, when a life-threatening retroferential abscess impinged on my throat pipes, so I couldn't swallow anything. And in order to keep breathing, I was intubated
