Insulate Britain

Insulate Britain has put its finger on one of the most important issues in UK environmental politics, which is that we have some of the most poorly insulated housing in Europe. All three movements do this, but they're not beyond politics. These issues are inherently political and when they claim to be beyond politics, they actually just end up situating themselves very firmly in a traditional bourgeois politics. And then, of course, it treats the climate crisis as separate from our reproduction of a class, right? They don't think about class struggle. In their defense, extinction rebellion have turned up at trade union events in recent months, but those are kind of symbolic acts. I just don't see that.
