The big, fast and famous model where it fails is that it's still worshiping the same thing that you worship every other day, which is consumerism. Worship is sacrifice. Do we come before God empty handed? No, we come to Romans 12 one present our bodies as living sacrifices. So megachurch Christianity ends up repeating the errors of Roman Catholicism by essentially removing the people in very important ways from the worship of God and the sacrifice of the people to God.
