The Effects of Associative Encoding on the Left ATL
Linguist: We very consistently see effects of composition in the left anterior temporal lobe. And we've been able to show that really is more of a conceptual process than a process where you're taking like syntactic categories and building a phrase, he says. But associative encoding also drives the left to ATL, including in the monkey brain,. So it's very interesting to think about that contrast and the possible connection.
