"We have two job openings for every unemployed person in our state, but many of the people who are unemployed don't know the skills they need to get those good jobs," he says. "How do we sort of deconstruct and create a new way with apprenticeships and students getting associate's degrees in high school? That might surprise people or that is something people should be able to agree on?" He adds: "If there is a market for sewing division, discord and doubting the motives of those on the other side, some politicians will rise to that."
