Socrates' Argument for Corrupting the Youth

Socrates says in the defense that nobody seemed to know. He said, I don't see how I'm corrupt by seeking the truth. And so this method of questioning is very important because as we get into Plato's works, he will be one of the first philosophers to raise the question of what counts as real knowledge. It can't just be opinion. It's got to be something more than that. The idea that the individual is present here in a unique way may not have been seen in previous philosophical traditions. We'll also notice that something here which is unique to Western philosophy and which is the rise of the individual.
