The Differences Between Money and Speech
The Supreme Court has ruled that corporations cannot give money to campaigns. But if a pharmaceutical company wants to influence an election similarly, it doesn't say we endorse candidate X. The hard part here is to understand like so ads that being run by candidates, they help voters understand what's going on. No one had any idea who was running for office in Montana when the law passed.
