The Lens of Self-Improvement

The idea of self-improvement doesn't resonate for me as a black woman. What has served me better is becoming, this idea of becoming. In my own life, improving meant that I needed to be like way more higher energy. But instead of thinking I lack the class clown energy, I focused on what was already true about me.
