The NCAA Wants Congress to Act on College Sports Compensation
The Supreme Court ruled two years ago that student athletes can be paid for their own name, image and likeness. California became the first state to pass a law in September of 2019 allowing college athletes to make money off them. The NCAA is actually wanting Congress to act this week after it held its first congressional hearing on college sports in nearly two years. Joining us now is the new president of the NCAA, former Republican governor of Massachusetts, Charlie Baker.
